Ustinya Malinina is a Russian soprano, studying as a 3rd year bachelor student at the Royal College of Music under the supervision of Nicholas Sears. An RCM Award Holder, Ustinya was awarded 3rd prize in the Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Competition in 2021 and second prize in the 2022 Neapolitan Masters competition Promise category. Ustinya has performed in many prestigous venues such as Crocus City Hall, the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the Oktyabr'skiy concert hall in St. Petersburg Russia, Gasteig in Munich, Germany. Recently she made her debut at the Britten’s Theatre at the Royal college of music, covering the roles of La Chatte” and “L’écureuil” as well as singing chorus in “L’Enfant et les Sortilèges” by Maurice Ravel and singing the chorus in “La bella dormente nel bosco” by Ottorino Respighi. Some of her future projects include singing Ottavia in Poppea and Melanto in Ulisse, in scenes by Monteverdi and chorus in the summer production in Libby Larsen’s Barnum's Bird in the Britten theatre.
