The Arena di Verona has announced its 2024 season which will be dedicated to Puccini.
The season will open with Puccini’s “Turandot” in Franco Zeffirelli’s production.

Verdi’s Aida will be revived in Stefano Poda’s production.

Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia will be revived in Hugo de Ana’s staging.

Bizet’s Carmen will be performed in Franco Zeffirelli’s production. Aigul Akhmetshina makes her company debut in the title role.
Performance Dates: July 5- Sept. 7, 2024
Puccini’s La Bohème will be performed in a special presentation. Daniel Oren conducts a production by Alfonso Signorini. The cast includes Juliana Grigoryan, Eleonora Bellocci, Vittorio Grigòlo, Luca Micheletti, Fabio Previati, and Alexander Vinogradov.

Anna Netrebko stars in Puccini’s Tosca in Hugo de Ana’s production. She will be joined by Luca Salsi as Scarpia and Yusif Eyvazov as Cavaradossi. Jonas Kaufmann, Elena Stikhina and Ludovic Tézier sing the final performance of run.

Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 will be performed.
