The internationally renowned Rossini in Wildbad Festival, celebrated for its dedication to bel canto and the revival of lesser-known works, will take place for the 36th time from 17 to 27 July 2025. This year, the festival presents an ambitious programme of five operas, three of which are world premieres, confirming its status as a must for opera lovers.
Among the highlights is a new production of Rossini’s La Cenerentola, which will be performed several times in the historic Royal Spa Theatre. The festival will also present a revival of L’inganno felice and the premiere of Un avvertimento ai gelosi by Manuel García. Pierre de Médicis by Josef Poniatowski and a rare version of Rossini’s Otello with a happy ending will also be performed. The event will open with the Petite messe solennelle, which will be performed on the scenic tree-top walk, offering a unique experience in a natural setting.
