Yesterday, the Steering Committee of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna approved the Financial Statement for the year 2022, which closes with a profit for the seventh consecutive year despite the difficult national and global context.
The Directors and the Superintendent of the Foundation therefore express their satisfaction for the result achieved, which was not taken for granted considering the post-pandemic situation, the extraordinary costs incurred that were not foreseen due to inflation and the high cost of energy, and the temporary closure of the historical seat in Piazza Verdi for redevelopment works with the consequent move to the trade fair pavilion.
“Thanks also to the attention of the City Council, which has supported and flanked us in this delicate moment,” says Superintendent Fulvio Macciardi, “the theatre’s artistic activities continue happily and without a break. Three months after moving to the “Comunale Nouveau” we are beginning to settle in and see the fruits of the great work done, also in terms of audience participation. We are working enthusiastically on the next season, in order to continue to offer our spectators high-level and interesting programming“.
The Management also emphasises the importance of the proximity of public and private partners at this time, thanking the historic sponsors for standing by the theatre and committing to acquiring new supporters in order to further develop future activities.
