Born in Naples, Vincenzo Costanzo is recognized as one of the most distinguished tenors of his generation and a leading figure on the international opera scene.
In the 2026 season, he expands his international presence through a series of major engagements. He performed the role of Cavaradossi in Tosca at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the baton of Michele Gamba, and took part in the closing ceremony of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics at Arena di Verona.
He continues with Andrea Chénier at Teatro Massimo Bellini, conducted by Paolo Carignani, and reprises Tosca at Teatro Regio di Torino under Andrea Battistoni.
Other appearances will include Turandot at State Opera Varna, conducted by Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli, and Cavalleria Rusticana at Sofia Opera and Ballet. He will also appear at the Festival Verdi, performing Aida at Teatro Giuseppe Verdi under the baton of Giuseppe Mengoli. Beyond the operatic stage, he will be featured in the “Noël à Naples” concert at Opéra National du Capitole.
A regular presence on the world’s most prestigious stages, he has performed at major opera houses including the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Arena di Verona, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Teatro Real in Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, San Francisco Opera, New National Theatre Tokyo, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and many others.
He collaborates with internationally renowned conductors, among them Andrea Battistoni, Myung-whun Chung, James Conlon, Daniele Gatti, Michele Mariotti, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Oren, and Juraj Valčuha, as well as with prominent stage directors including Liliana Cavani, Emma Dante, Damiano Michieletto, Ferzan Özpetek, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Massimo Popolizio, and Franco Zeffirelli.
Among the many accolades he has received are the Oscar della Lirica, Premio Beniamino Gigli and the prestigious Enrico Caruso Award.
He began studying singing at a very young age, first with Marcello Ferraresi and later under the guidance of Piero Giuliacci.
