Alissia Venier was born in Minsk and began her musical studies at the age of 7 in the piano class at the local music school. She then continued her studies by taking a course in the balalaika, an instrument from Russian tradition. After graduating in 2011 from the Music College of Minsk, she enrolled at the National Academy of Music in the same city, where she deepened her studies in orchestral conducting, theory and composition, piano, and balalaika. At the same time, she participated in national and international competitions as a soloist, ensemble member, and conductor. At the "Tartini" Conservatory in Trieste, she attended the Orchestral Conducting course led by Maestro Antonino Fogliani, participating in concerts and masterclasses with various conductors, including Donato Renzetti, Sigmund Thorp, and Georg Grun, graduating with full honors in 2017. In the same year, she was awarded second prize at the Premio Nazionale delle Arti. In June 2018, she won first prize in Orchestral Conducting at the Premio Nazionale delle Arti. She conducted celebratory concerts in honor of composers Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Rossini at the Belarusian State Philharmonic, supported by the "Foedus" Foundation and featuring the Factotum Orchestra and the Belarusian State Chamber Choir. In 2019, she conducted the concert Donne tra musica e parole, organized by CUG, the Municipality of Trieste, and the "G. Tartini" Conservatory. In 2019, she won the "Maldini" Prize, and the Inner Wheel of Bologna awarded her the "Festa della Donna" Scholarship. She attended courses in Orchestral Conducting, Composition, and Counterpoint at the "Rodrigo" Higher Conservatory of Music in Valencia. She has worked as a collaborative pianist at theaters in the Lombard Circuit, at the "Verdi" festival, and as an assistant at the "Rossini in Wildbad" festival. In 2021, she completed her studies in Orchestral Conducting at the "Martini" Conservatory of Bologna under the guidance of Maestro Luciano Acocella, graduating with honors. Recently, Alissia conducted the production of La Scala di Seta at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, adding another significant success to her career. She also conducted a Lyrical Gala with the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna at the Manzoni Auditorium. In 2023, she was selected by Maestros Daniele Gatti and Luciano Acocella as an allieva effettiva (active student) for the orchestral conducting course at the Chigiana Music Academy in Siena. She is currently serving as the Musical Director of the Este Symphony Orchestra and as the conductor of the Collegium Almae Matris Orchestra at the University of Bologna. She has collaborated as a conductor with the Opera School of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. She has also been a guest conductor with the Veneto Symphony Orchestra and the 131 Symphony Orchestra of Basilicata.
