Born in Switzerland, soprano Daria Rybak is one of the most promising singers of her generation. She started her singing studies at a very young age, at the Vevey-Montreux-Riviera Conservatory and then she continued her development at the Royal College of Music in London, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music in 2018. Daria has also participated in numerous Masterclasses in Italy, England, Austria and Russia. Since 2011 she has been performing regularly in Switzerland (at the Vevey Theater, Montreux Jazz Festival, Les Classiques de Villars festival, etc.) and abroad (Mozarteum Salzburg, Rhodes National Theater, O2 Arena London, etc.). She won numerous awards, notably first place in the Swiss Music Competition for Youth (CSMG) in 2011 and 2013, the Baccarini and Hugues Cuénod prizes in 2013, an Opperby Stokowski Award during her studies at the RCM, and the Migros Cultural Percentage Study Award in 2020. Her mentor and vocal teacher is the internationally acclaimed tenor Yusif Eyvazov. An important support in studying her repertoire is her coach, Saadat Ismayilova. Currently her repertoire includes roles such as Liù (Turandot by Puccini), Micaela (Carmen by Georges Bizet), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni by Mozart), Violetta (La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi), Musetta (La Boheme by Puccini), Iolanta (homonymous opera by Tchaikovsky). Her most recent engagements included her Italian debut at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona with a concert alongside Yusif Eyvazov, on December 4th, her debut as Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème at Alisher Nava’i Theater in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on December 16th and at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona on December 31st. Daria Rybak will debut in the title role of Verdi’s La Traviata on February 25th, at Alisher Nava’i Theater in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), having at her side Yusif Eyvazov (Alfredo) and Simone Piazzola (Giorgio Germont), followed by a concert with the tenor Fabio Sartori, under the baton of M° Denis Vlasenko on March 31st, in the Big Hall of the Conservatoire in Moscow.
