Born in Pamplona, she studied harp and voice at the Conservatorio Superior de Navarra, completed a Master’s degree in Lied at ESMUC in Barcelona, and was a member of the Ópera (e)Studio of Ópera de Tenerife. She has won more than a dozen prizes in international competitions, most recently the Young Artistic Talent Award from the Príncipe de Viana Institution.
She has made her debut in roles such as Violetta in La traviata, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Liù in Turandot, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Nannetta in Falstaff, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Clorinda in La cenerentola, First Lady and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, Marola in La tabernera del puerto, Lina in Las golondrinas, Niña Estrella in Don Gil de Alcalá, and Rosa in El rey que rabió, among many others.
She has also performed at major venues including Theater Basel, Comunale di Bologna, the Opera State Theater of Georgia, Komitas Chamber Hall in Armenia, Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, Maestranza in Seville, Campoamor in Oviedo, Monumental in Madrid, Auditorio Nacional, Euskalduna in Bilbao, Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, Ópera de Tenerife, and Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas.
Esparza is part of the American record label Odradek Records, with which she has released the first-ever recordings of previously unpublished songs by Emilio Arrieta (Canciones para una reina) and Francisco Asenjo Barbieri (Otro Barbieri), marking their respective bicentenaries.
Her upcoming engagements include debuts at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna and Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, as well as returns to venues such as Teatro de la Zarzuela and Ópera de Tenerife, among others.
