Born in Berlin, the mezzosoprano Štèpánka Pučálková studying singing at the Highschool of Jan Neruda in Prague and she continued her studies to the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. There she worked under the guidance of Elisabeth Wilke, Josef Wallnig and Eike Gramss and in the year of 2012 she received a master’s degree in opera. In the same year, Štepánka Pučálková was awarded by the organization Stiftung the Mozarteum Medal of Lilli Lehmann. She performed at the Salzburg Mozarteum University and Landestheater in Salzburg, roles such as Mozart’s Idamante (Idomeneo), 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Larina (Eugene Onegin), Galatea (Aci, Galatea et Polifemo) and Annina (La Traviata). Starting from the 18/19 season, Ms. Pucalkova has been a soloist of the ensemble of Semperoper Dresden.
